Privacy Policy for Crested Gecko ID

Crested Gecko ID helps users identify visible crested gecko morph traits from photos. This policy explains what information the app processes and how optional uploads are used.

Information We Process

• Photos selected from your gallery or captured with your camera for morph identification.
• Optional uploaded correction photos and improvement photos.
• Morph traits you select for uploaded photos.
• Prediction metadata for corrections, such as predicted traits, possible traits, model scores and model version.
• Technical timestamps and storage paths needed to store optional uploads.

The app does not require a user account.

How Photos Are Used

Photos used for normal morph identification are processed by the app to show results. If you choose to upload a correction or a labeled improvement photo, the uploaded photo and selected morph traits may be reviewed and used to improve future app results.

Storage

Optional uploaded photos are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket on the shared Supabase backend at https://api2.grasberg.se. Upload metadata is stored in the same Supabase/Postgres backend.

Sharing

We do not sell uploaded photos, labels or prediction data. Uploaded data may be reviewed by the app owner or used in internal model-improvement workflows. The app does not use ads or third-party advertising tracking.

Your Choices

Uploading photos is optional. You can use the app's photo analysis without uploading a correction or improvement photo. Improvement uploads require you to add morph labels so the photo can be useful for app improvement.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of uploaded feedback photos and labels by emailing grasberg@gmail.com.
